CRITICAL PRAISE FROM "BOOTY SHAKERS BALL TOUR"

"It only took a few moments to recognize the band as something truly special...This was a superb live show. I'm sure the band will double their draw the next time they perform in Toronto, as everyone who saw them this evening will bring friends along to their next performance."

--Mike Bax, PURE GRAIN AUDIO (Toronto, ON), 3/2/18

"Vista Kicks understand their sound and reflect the mood of it in their appearance...Their sound is a beautiful blend of The Beatles meets Motown with plenty of gritty rock and roll and flare mixed in...It's clear to me that Vista Kicks' sound is built on the history of rock and roll: from the sounds frequented on Ed Sullivan to Buddy Holly to The Arctic Monkeys to The Fratellis, these guys get rock and roll history and it's prevalent in their sound. They restore faith in how music can be edgy, entertaining, and pleasurable...Vista Kicks kick much ass and they belong on everyone's Spotify playlist."

--Constantin Preda, BLURRED CULTURE (Los Angeles, CA), 2/21/18

"Vista Kicks lit up the small cube of a venue with their electrifying music...Vista Kicks performed as if they were headlining Coachella."

--Colton Newman, DAILY LOBO (Albuquerque, NM), 2/22/18

"The swagger they brought to each song they played made the evening worth it. Trading off vocals between Derek and Sam and allowing Nolan and Trevor to amply anchor the musical landscape, these guys brought their A-game...You may not have heard of them yet, but do yourself a favor and check out this quartet as they make their way across the country bringing their music to the masses."

--Todd Jolicoeur, 100% ROCK MAGAZINE (Detroit, MI), 3/1/18

"Does it get any more romantic than Derek Thomas (vox), Sam Plecker (guitar/vox), Trevor Sutton (bass), and Nolan Le Vine (drums) all decked out in their suavest red and black finery and luscious locks spreading their funkified, pop/glam-laced rock n roll love to the sold-out masses...we think not. Welcome to the Booty Shakers Ball...tour. A most apropos title for their album/tour because there was no lack of rear ends in motion as the Los Angeles-based foursome rolled like pros at the Troubadour for a hometown show that saw the band in a high performance state and their friends and fans loving every moment of it."

-- Emery Becker, HIGH VOLTAGE (Los Angeles, CA), 2/17/18

"Instant nostalgia shoots you in the face the moment you catch the smooth riffs and gravely vocals on this Sacramento power quartet. From their matching dinner jackets, to the swaying licks and rhythms moving your feet, there was real-original music being berthed. Coming full force with smash singles like 'Marceline,' to revved-up groovy tracks like 'Fight The War,' this show just kept on giving. The members seem to have an uncanny brother-like togetherness; reminiscent of The Beatles or the more recent Kings of Leon....Stage presence and performance was atop the list of their rock 'n' roll ass kicking rapture."

--Jeremy Housewright, REVIEWSTL.COM (St. Louis, MO), 2/23/18

"The boys were quick in making sure no single booty was still during their set. Decked out in shiny red blazers reminiscent of lounge acts of old, the dudes were here to show us a good time...an entertaining and fun show. All the bands proved that crowd size didn't determine their stage presence - these bands played as if they were in front of a stadium full of cheering fans. "

--Josh Chaikin, PHOTOS FROM THE PIT (Kansas City, MO), 2/23/18

"Between the long hair, distressed blue jeans and catchy rock ballads, Vista Kicks is the perfect collaboration between the 80s and 2010s, with a hint of the Beatles to tie it all together...All of Vista Kicks' music has a familiar nostalgia, while still making it their own...As their album implies, you will in fact want to shake your booty, or at the very least, sway along to the beats...This is the kind of boy band we need. Not the pop templates that are continuously reproduced, but a group of guys with flowing hair with a rock base singing about love."

--Faryn Duncan, THE SCARLET & GRAY FREE PRESS (Las Vegas, NV), 2/20/18

"The group's infectious sound mesmerized the crowd and had them dancing and shouting during the entire set. The band has more in common with the pop music of the 60's and 70's than most of the other groups in the indie pop world today. But in their case, that is a compliment as the band produces a rich pop sound not unlike that of the Raspberries did back in the day. But somehow the band portrays their retro drenched music as fresh and new, and the young crowd responded accordingly."

--L. Paul Mann, GRATEFUL WEB (Los Angeles, CA), 2/20/18

About VISTA KICKS:

VISTA KICKS--four lifelong friends from Northern California who grew up obsessed with the sounds of AC/DC, The Beatles, Black Sabbath, The Bee Gees and Michael Jackson--began playing anywhere and everywhere with a stage by the age of 16, taking over supper clubs, parties, and backyard barbecues. After their single "Make It Real" cracked 2 million Spotify streams, they made a collective decision to forego college and trade their small Sacramento suburb for Hollywood, forming VISTA KICKS in late 2015.

Living together in a cramped one-bedroom apartment, the quartet--Derek Thomas (vocals), Sam Plecker (guitar/vocals), Trevor Sutton (bass), and Nolan Le Vine (drums)--quietly ignited a buzz throughout L.A. and beyond with two full U.S. tours under their belts. Within a year, the band's independent 2016 Chasing Waves EP and additional singles generated over 5 million cumulative Spotify streams and 3.2 million YouTube views. However, everything set the stage for the release of their latest debut full-length, BOOTY SHAKERS BALL-self-produced by the musicians themselves and engineered by their guitar player and vocalist Sam Plecker. Best described as a smoked-out collaboration between James Brown and Jimmy Page, it bridges eras.
