Dirtybird darling and esteemed Sloth-aficionado Sacha Robotti announced today that he will embark on a jam-packed trek across North America appropriately dubbed SlothAcid Tour. Armed with a contagious smile, a handful of party-rocking friends, and a grip of House & Techno thumpers, Sacha is set to turn out some of North America’s most iconic dance floors.

Sacha Robotti’s SlothAcid Tour will kickoff as he appears as a special guest for a string of shows in support of Chris Lake before touching down at key festival dates like California’s Dirtybird Campout and Nocturnal Wonderland, and Houston’s Praia Urbana. Then with some help from Fancy Fux, Kevin Knapp, Pezzner, RYBO and J Worra, Sacha will pull up to Chicago’s SPYBAR, Detroit’s Grasshopper Underground, Austin’s Ethics, Seattle’s Q Nightclub, Boston’s Bijou, Sacramento’s District 30 plus a slew of other high-profile dates to soon be announced.

Some words from the Sloth-man himself: “Since I've used a sloth logo for my parties in LA this past year, the sloth has become a spirit animal that has been increasingly associated with my artist persona.  Sloths are an endangered species and are friendly, chill creatures who like to sleep a lot and seem to live happily in the moment—qualities I can relate to, especially today in our performance-driven society. The legend goes that magic sloth candy blew minds during my set at Desert Hearts Festival 2017, after which I started using the term ‘SlothAcid’ to describe the style of electronic music that I like to play out at festivals and clubs: a mix of groovy, emotional, weird, psychedelic music with tough beats that hopefully will take you on a journey through spacetime."

After a number of collaborations and contributions to the label, Sacha made his solo debut on Dirtybird this summer with his blowout ‘Melato Nina’ EP. The two-track EP plays homage to his diverse approaches to music with the title track’s emotional piano lines and reverbed leads contrasting sharply with the monstrous synths and haunting vocal chops of “Low Key Goddess”’. The range of this release sees Sacha dance between his signature energetic surprises and introspective darkness, offering the balancing act which fans have come to expect and love in both his studio output and the DJ booth. Sacha’s sound has evolved fluidly throughout his 11 year career, zig-zagging between the SF-inspired hyphy booty scene, sample-heavy house tracks as Berlin-based duo Robosonic, and the hard hitting techno anthems he’s released as of late. Despite bouncing between genres on his quest to move dancefloors worldwide - creativity, funk and sweat-inducing good times remain at the center of his journey - a sonic treat for humans and sloths alike.
