PAUL ANKA | LEGENDARY POP ICON TO HIT THE FIREKEEPERS STAGE ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16

(Battle Creek, MI.) June 29, 2017 – FireKeepers Casino Hotel is excited to welcome classic pop crooner, Paul Anka to the FireKeepers event center on Sat., Sept. 16 at 9 p.m. Tickets go on sale Sat., July 1 at 10 a.m. and start at $49. 

 

Sing along as this pop heartthrob swings through classic hits, “Diana,” “Lonely Boy,” “Put Your Head On My Shoulder,” “Having My Baby,” “Puppy Love” and more. In a production loaded with class and romance, Anka will take fans on a musical journey with a repertoire drawn from his years as a teen hit maker, to in-demand songwriter, to the release of his latest albums, "Rock Swings" and "Duets."

Anka is among the greatest songwriters of all time. His major credits include composer of the catchy theme to Johnny Carson's "The Tonight Show," plus lyrics and music for the Tom Jones smash, "She's a Lady," and the Frank Sinatra’s signature hit “My Way”. He also co-wrote Michael Jackson's posthumous worldwide hits, "This Is It” and “Love Never Felt So Good”. His other achievements include "Hold Me 'Til the Morning Comes," a duet with Peter Cetera in 1983 and "Body of Work," a 1998 duets album that featured Frank Sinatra, Celine Dion, Patti LaBelle and  Tom Jones. Anka also stepped in front of the camera in the teen beach-party movie era, scoring multiple movies and acting as well. He made guest appearances as himself in the episode "Red's Last Day" on That '70s Show and in "The Real Paul Anka" episode of Gilmore Girls. He made several appearances on the NBC TV series Las Vegas. In 2014, Anka’s autobiography, “My Way” was published.
