mau5trap | Ranked In Top 10 Of Mixmag's Top 50 Labels Of The Decade

EMBARKING ON 'lots of shows in a row: pt 2' FALL TOUR

A decade since its formation, mau5trap-the label founded by groundbreaking electronic music producer deadmau5-has become a bastion for trailblazing and genre-defying artists. Casting a palpable influence over the genre, Mixmag readers just voted mau5trap among the "Top 50 Labels of the Decade," placing it in the Top 10 at #9.

Mixmag writes, "His constant criticism of other elements of the music industry and electronic music genre stem from a place of high expectations. It only makes sense, then, that mau5trap, launched in 2007, be equally as innovative and impressive across the decade, too."

Not one to rest on his laurels, deadmau5 continues to increase the label's already prolific output in 2017, extending that influence yet again. Upcoming releases include:

  • This past Friday (July 28), Los Angeles's own BlackGummy unveils the Monolith EP. A mélange of big room hooks and intricate, impactful production, Monolith surprises at every turn. It's got the power to solidify him as a monolithic presence worldwide.

  • Next, 22-year-old Niagara Falls production sorceress Rezz unleashes her full-length debut Mass Manipulation on August 4. Gearing up for her "Mass Manipulation" World Tour, she's dropped a series of addictive and atmospheric bangers such as "Premonition" [feat. knodis] and "Diluted Brains," setting the stage for the album's arrival.

  • On August 11, U.K. upstart Draft returns with the Patience & Time EP. Further expanding his bass-driven and startlingly melodic electronic wallop, this new collection illuminates the producer's innate ability to shock and awe.

  • A robot straight out of Utrecth, NL, Tinlicker augments their cybernetic electro with bombastic energy on the new release "Jalapeño" on August 18.

Recently, the label dropped the mau5trap TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY compilation album, showcasing the breadth of its roster on one dynamic blockbuster. Check out the full tracklisting below and listen or purchase it now here:
