Hippie Sabotage is a Sacramento, CA EDM duo, composed of brothers Kevin and Jeff Saurer. They started to craft their hip-hop instrumentals in the mid-2000s. They were #1 on Billboard's Next Big Sound chart. Hippie Sabotage are back with another stunning flip, this time of Billie Eilish and Khalid‘s collaborative single “Lovely”. Just to bring this full circle. Billie Eilish and Khalid’s collaborative hit “Lovely” rules The Hollywood Reporter’s Top TV Songs chart, thanks to its appearance in Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why. “Lovely is banging with deep kicks and the pitched vocal duet, swelling with gorgeous, orchestral strings that bring a heartfelt vibe to the track. You’ll definitely be putting this one on repeat. This song is very powerful in its own merit but their rendition took to a whole another level.
Flipping songs is nothing new to this group they began to get worldwide attention in spring 2014 when singer Ellie Goulding posted their remix for “Habits (Stay High)” by Swedish pop singer Tove Lo on social media. The song reached over a million hits following Goulding’s endorsement, and was soon followed by a handful of releases that same year. In addition to the Johnny Long Chord EP, the duo also issued The Sunny Album. In 2016 they released their sophomore full-length, Providence, and the Options EP, a collaboration with Cubic Z. The Saurers continued their work with Z on the Drifter album in 2017. Over 1 billion streams got the press release sent out about the duo Hippie Sabotage's 2018 national California Lost Tour.
