“FireKeepers 2018 shows will be better than ever and we are thrilled to bring hitmakers such as Cheap Trick and Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo to the Event Center stage,” stated Jim Wise, VP of Marketing. “Both acts have a wide array of awards and accomplishments and their music is better than ever.”

Cheap Trick is part of the very fiber of American rock music, inspiring and delighting generations with their unique union of massive melodies and razorblade riffs, their own special brand of mischievous wit and maximum rock ‘n’ roll. Frontlined since 1974 by Robin Zander (vocals, rhythm guitar), Rick Nielsen (lead guitar), and Tom Petersson (bass guitar), the Rockford, IL-born band is set to impact still another era with the spectacular new “BANG ZOOM CRAZY…HELLO,” their 17th studio collection and first in more than five years.  The band has been very busy of late, also releasing a holiday album, “Christmas Christmas”.

Cheap Trick, is of course an indisputable institution, beloved for their instantly identifiable, hugely influential, powerhouse pop rock ‘n’ roll. The band was a 2016 inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  The constant core of the band remains one of a kind – three guys, four chords, and tunes that will last in perpetuity, from “California Man” and “Dream Police” to “Surrender,” “I Want You To Want Me” and the worldwide number one hit single, “The Flame.”

Rock legends Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo will share their collection of hits in a stripped down, acoustic version.  A setting that will allow fans to experience the true power of the music while hearing the stories behind the songs.  Since 1979, Benatar and Giraldo have formed one of the most successful partnerships in music history.

During their nearly four-decade career, they have won an unprecedented, four consecutive Grammy awards as well as three American Music awards.

Their undeniable chemistry, Benatar's mezzo-soprano vocal range and Giraldo's trail blazing work as a producer, guitarist and songwriter created some of rock's most memorable hits.  These include, "Promises in the Dark,” “Hell is For Children,” We Live For Love,” “Love Is A Battlefield,” “Hit me with Your Best Shot" and "We Belong.”

Their rock and roll love affair has endured for 38 years and they continue to tour every year, wowing audiences everywhere.
