Faster Horses Country Music Festival is the party of the summer at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. The sixth edition of the country-and-camping fest, which draws 40,000-plus annually. On July 20-22, this event hosted 3 days of country music that is well-known for attracting an impressive lineup of country artists and musicians as well as its unique and welcoming camping grounds. The festival is a prime summer event featuring two stages, nine campgrounds, late night jam sessions, food trucks, water slides, and more to highlight the unique summer lifestyle experience in the area. This year, headliners were Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn, Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert and Billy Currington. Other acts include Cam, Chris Janson, Dustin Lynch, Locash, Midland, Parmalee, Raelynn, and Tyler Farr. Even the Up and coming artist to hit the Nashville Stage were beyond impressive! The reunited Brooks & Dunn played for the first time in eight years. They hadn’t played Michigan since a July 2010 show at DTE Energy Music Theatre, a month before the pair parted ways.
Following the festival’s monumental 5th anniversary last year, Billboard praised that “Faster Horses is not just another music festival...it definitely has a personality” and since its establishment in 2013, has earned a reputation for one of country music’s biggest festivals in the United States. Fans traveled near and far each year, for a self-declared three-day sleepover, embracing the spirit permeating through the festival grounds, as well as the unique fringe activities on offer including the annual “Campsite Contest”, “Faster Humans Fun Run”. So in other words if you didn’t join the festival this year – be on the lookout for next year’s bigger and greater Faster Horses Country Music Festival All Day Event.
