earMUSIC UPDATE JUNE 2017 | FEATURING ALICE COOPER, KMFDM, ONCE HUMAN, UNISONIC, + GIZMODROME
ALICE COOPER RELEASES FIRST SINGLE
OFF THE FORTHCOMING PARANORMAL OUT JULY 28
Last Thursday evening on his radio program, "Nights With Alice Cooper," ALICE COOPERdebuted the first single, "Paranoiac Personality" off the forthcoming album Paranormal. As previously announced, Paranormal features two songs written and recorded with the original members of the Alice Cooper band and also has guest appearances by ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons, U2 drummer Larry Mullen and Roger Glover of Deep Purple. The album is out July 28 on earMUSIC and can be pre-ordered via Amazon and iTunes today. There will also be a limited run of blood-red vinyl available at indie retailers across the country.
The guitar-driven "Paranoiac Personality" is a perfect entry point to Alice's searing rock record. An album that explores the fringes of society, the end of the world, encounters with the devil and more. Paranormal was produced by long-time collaborator Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Deep Purple). In addition to the new studio album and the two new recordings from the original Alice Cooper band, fans will receive a bonus of six live tracks recorded at one of Cooper's 2016 shows in Columbus, OH.
Alice Cooper's North American tour also kicked off this week. He'll join up with Deep Purple beginning in August. Highlights include The Greek in Los Angeles on August 13 and Jones Beach on August 26. Alice Cooper is on a world tour throughout 2017. Full North American tour dates below.

KMFDM DROP "HELL YEAH" LYRIC VIDEO
KMFDM have dropped the lyric video for "Hell Yeah," which is an "instant" classic for the band, thanks to its ultra-heavy beat and Sascha Konietzko's trademark cynical lyrics.
Watch it here.
The song is featured on YEAH!, the five-track EP of brand-new songs, remixes and edits, out June 23 via earMUSIC. The band's new studio album is out in August. Details are coming soon. The band will back on tour in the States this September/October. More details to follow.

UNISONIC TO RELEASE LIVE IN WACKEN ON JULY 21 VIA earMUSIC
earMUSIC announces the release on CD + DVD of Unisonic's 2016 Wacken Open Airshow.
With their 2012 self-titled debut album, Unisonic unleashed a storm of enthusiasm. For the first time in 23 years, the two former members of Hamburg's metal institution Helloween — Michael Kiske and Kai Hansen – reunited to play in the same band. More than a few metal fans might have shed a tear.
After the successful follow-up album Light Of Dawn (2014), a worldwide tour followed with memorable gigs in South America, Europe and Japan until Unisonic, still at full speed, brought their energy to the small village of Wacken where one of the biggest and most spectacular metal festivals in the world takes place every year.
On stage the band showed their class and diversity; their sound is spiked with remarkable riffs and guitar solos, thundering grooves, classic metal hymns and hooks other bands would be dying to write. And on top the anthemic vocals of Kiske, whose “out-of-this-world” voice is so extraordinary and strong, he is often mentioned in the same breath with Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford and Geoff Tate.
You can enjoy it by watching a clip here.
Like the studio albums, Live in Wacken was mixed and mastered by the band’s own Dennis Ward.
The Unisonic show will be available on a limited CD+DVD (Digipak) version. The bonus DVD includes the video recording of six songs from their spectacular performance.

INTRODUCING GIZMODROME: STEWART COPELAND, ADRIAN BELEW, MARK KING, VITTORIO COSMA
TO RELEASE THEIR DEBUT ALBUM WORLDWIDE ON earMUSIC ON SEPTEMBER 15
"Strange Things Happen" is the title of a song on Gizmodrome's debut album.
Certainly great things have happened in the studio, when the four incredible talents met to create one of the most exciting and versatile albums of 2017.
Gizmodrome are in fact a high-voltage "All-Star-Band" formed by Stewart Copeland (The Police and multi-awarded soundtracks composer), Mark King (Level 42), Adrian Belew (ex-King Crimson, David Bowie, Frank Zappa and Talking Heads), and Vittorio Cosma (who played with Italian prog legends PFM and an impressive list of Italian and international stars).
Their self-titled debut album will be released worldwide by earMUSIC on September 15, 2017.
In days of "long-distance recording," with musicians emailing each other sound files, never having been in the same room, Gizmodrome started with the very opposite approach: real old school excitement by four musicians in the rehearsal room!
It is not a surprise that four musicians with such diverse talents and backgrounds, playing one step from each other, have created music that is vibrant, electric and unpredictable.
Stewart Copeland who is known for his exceptional drum style in songs that changed pop rock forever, is obviously the wild talent behind the drum. But he takes the lead as the main singer in almost all songs and it is the match of his unique vocal approach with the melodic vocals lines of Mark King and the extravagant singing style of Belew to make each song a masterpiece!
One would naturally wonder how two US based musicians could end up forming a band with one English and one Italian musician…
Stewart Copeland explains, "Vittorio and I have been playing together for years, in Italy, but it got serious when Adrian and Mark joined us for 15 days of wild creativity in a Milan recording studio. If you put the right guys together in a rehearsal room, 'strange things' definitely happen!"
"Progressive pop" could be a definition that would sum all the elements in Gizmodrome, but it would probably do no justice to the wild rock guitars of Adrian Belew or the imaginative and poetic keyboards of Vittorio Cosma.
One thing is sure: Gizmodrome are unpredictable and pioneering.
Gizmodrome was produced by Claudio Dentes, a wizard producer that could be best described as the musical version of Dr. Brown in Back to the Future, responsible for some of the most creative and successful Italian production for the last 30 years.
For all those, curious to have a taste of Gizmodrome, a "work in progress" version of the song "Amaka Pipa" can be found here.
