AT ATHENAEUM THEATRE
FRIDAY, MARCH 30, 2018
March 22, 2018 — Enter The Upside Down as Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein play their soundtrack to cult TV hit Stranger Things live at the Athenaeum Theatre in Chicago on Friday March 30th. Tickets are on sale HERE.
Serving up a hearty slice of '80s nostalgia, Stranger Things became the runaway TV hit of 2016, inviting viewers into the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. Dixon and Stein's soundtrack is inseparable from the adventures of Eleven and the gang, with the feelings of childhood camaraderie and unsettling eeriness amplified by the synth-laden score. The duo’s performance will include new elements and styles of compositions from season 2 as well as season 1 – alongside a supernatural neon light show.
Dixon and Stein, both Texas natives, were born in the early 1980s when the seeds of inspiration for Stranger Things were sown. They met as teenagers and eventually gravitated towards the analog electronic music. Their band S U R V I V E (along with Mark Donica and Adam Jones) has quickly exploded from being a hip Austin act to touring the world having released their second studio album, “RR7349 in 2016.
