River Days 2018

GM River Days presented by the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, returned on June 22 - 24, 2018. This one of a kind festival took place along the Detroit Riverfront – River Days is a celebration of Detroit’s River Walk with activities on land and water. Experience all the River Walk had so much to offer, from the jet-ski demos to live music, sand sculptures, food and just safe fun !

 

Quicken Loans National Stage, included classic R&B group Kool & the Gang along with tribute band Beatlemania Live! on that Friday evening. Legendary funk sensation Morris Day & the Time electrified the stage on Saturday, along with smooth R&B singer Donell Jones. The fun picked up again Sunday evening with the melodic sounds of multi - platinum soul singer Avant and Canadian R&B singer Tamia.

 

Although it rained on Friday and Saturday the crowds were still massive to support the wonderful efforts of showcasing the Riverfront. Families were again able to enjoy carnival rides, educational challenges, food, animal demonstrations, Tuskegee Airman Show, it was so much to do. The Live performances were all sold out from general admission to the VIP section all 3 days. It was a very beautiful sight to see and experience.
