Detroit Artist Danielle Releases her new Single "Lies & Buttlerflies"

September 14, 2018

Danielle is an independent artist from West Bloomfield, Michigan. She began her career by performing at local venues and restaurants. You may have spotted her at MGM Grand, Cucina restaurant or SCL lounge Royal Oak, an after dinner bar and lounge. Danielle brings a sultry vibe with her voice to what is being called “that smokey signature sound." Danielle aims to make her mark on the music industry by filling a gap between her two main idols, Adele and Taylor swift. In late august 2018, Danielle made a big leap by releasing her first original single called Lies & Butterflies. By collaborating with local producer Adagio, they have teamed up to bring a song that is both catchy and lyrically clever. Lies & Butterflies is a pop song with many electronic music influences. It is meant to address the insecurities that come with being around your crush. To some, it has a different meaning, one that attributes to the many social insecurities we face today and notably on social media. Danielle wishes the song to be entertaining as well as strike a chord with an audience that is ever more self conscious and to remind them that we all pretend to be someone at some point in an effort to maximize our coolness and she’s not afraid to poke fun of herself for it. If that sounds like you, then you probably caught a case of Lies & Butterflies.
