It was literally the hottest weekend of the summer and it didn’t stop the true fans of country music. This 3 day festival features a weekend full of country music superstars, stellar campsites, and lots of dancing. It all went down at the outdoor Party of the Summer July 19 – 21 in Brooklyn, Michigan. The some-40,000 fans in attendance at the Faster Horses Festival was ready for action at Michigan International Speedway. This is a self-described “three-day hillbilly sleepover” that takes place in Southeast Michigan every year on the third weekend in July. While the festival is undoubtedly known for its star-studded country music lineup, it also serves as quite the 72-hour party. Just to name a few who graced the stage at the festival this year. Keith Urban, Toby Keith, Zac Brown Band, Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, Old Dominion, Kip Moore, Randy Houser, Brett Young, Michael Ray, LANCO, Mitchell Tenpenny, Dylan Scott, Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradbery, Morgan Evans, Lindsay Ell, Tyler Rich, and Dee Jay Silver.
This year’s “three-day hillbilly sleepover” was the seventh annual in the Irish Hills, and has shown no signs of slowing down. Even with the unpredictable weather the fans and the Acts never lost the faith that the show must go on. It’s the best feeling when you can enjoy a safe venue with people and great food and great entertainment. The bubble tent and waterslide and not to mention the campgrounds is always enjoyed. People dressed up in their best summer country outfits and danced and sung from sun up to sun down. This country festival continues to draw crowds from all of the world.
