2018 International Auto Show

Cobo Hall hosted the 2018 International Auto Show from January 13-28, 2018, Detroit being the largest concentration of the world’s top automotive and technology executives, designers, engineers and thought leaders, the North American International Auto Show serves as the global stage for companies to debut brand-defining vehicles and industry-shaping announcements. NAIAS is unmatched in the industry in presenting six unique shows in one, including: The Gallery, an ultra-luxury automotive event, AutoMobili-D, an inside look at future mobility platforms, Press Preview, Industry Preview, Charity Preview and then concluding with a nine-day Public Show. 2018 marks the twelfth year of the ultra-luxury automotive event, this is now become the official kick-off to the North American International Auto Show. Guests will experience a nearly $10 million collection of the most acclaimed automobiles the world has to offer, including brands such as Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and Rolls Royce, to name just a few.
On Tuesday January 16, racing legends Mario Andretti and Roger Penske, along with 2017 Verizon Indy Car Series champion Josef Newgarden, headlined the public unveiling of INDYCAR’s new race car for the upcoming season. Penske, the Detroit-based automotive icon who owns the team that Newgarden drives for, spoke to the business side of the sport from the view of a racing team owner and driving force of the annual Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear, INDYCAR’s only doubleheader event, scheduled for June 1-3 at Belle Isle Park.
Charity Preview is the largest annual, single-night fundraiser in the world. Proceeds directly benefit a wide range of children’s charities that are making a positive impact in southeastern Michigan. Since 1976, Charity Preview has raised more than $112 million, with over $41 million raised in the last 10 years alone. Several Congress and local county leaders was in attendance.
